Adult education is meant to educate the adults or grown-up people. We feel the need of adult education when a great number of people are illiterate. It is also always required because new discoveries and inventions take place every other day. Adult education enables the people to accommodate the new thing in society. For instance, Computer Education, Internet Information, Mobile Phone etc. Require education so these things get their proper place without getting failure on either part. Adult education has a number of forms. First of all, it means the teaching of a language to adults. They are taught how to read and write. They learn from their teachers and books. Adult education also means teaching skills to adults. They are taught how operate certain machines in factories, how to grow special crops etc. They are taught about their responsibilities and the ways of fulfilling them.

There is a great need for adult education in all over the world. If they give proper adult education to our people, they can become efficient workers in industry and agriculture. Educated laborers can handle machines and instrument wisely. They can learn new methods of increasing production in factories. They can learn new methods of growing good crops. In business, educated shopkeepers and traders can understand their work better. They can understand the needs of their customers. They can learn different of doing business from books and other means simultaneously. Through adult education, we can bring our people and government closer. If most of our people become educated they can quickly understand the plans of the government. They can follow the speeches of their rulers or leaders well. They can cooperate with the government properly in different fields for the good of the country. More than this they can give their suggestions to the government. There are some good ways of giving adult education. First of all, our schools and colleges should have arrangement for adult education. Special classes for adult can languages and other subjects. The government should try to provide some buildings in every city for adult education. It should also try to provide special places for adult education in villages. Our village people themselves should set aside some places for adult education. Then the government may keep teachers or volunteers to teach adults. Students should go to villages for some time in the summer vacation to teach villagers. Villagers would welcome such students and would be happy to learn from adults. Electronic and print media can also play their vital role in educating adults. Special educational programs for adults should be presented on them. There should be radio and television sets for the common people in the streets of a city. One or two radio and television sets should be there in every village. The people themselves should collect funds to buy them or government should provide them. Even good educational films can be shown to the people on the radio and television. We should teach our adults how to read and write. We should teach them how to work well in their different professions. We should make them better citizens through adult education. And this method will always maintain harmony in the society.

Drug is an substance that induces sleep or insensibility. Therefore drug addiction means being addicted to use drugs. Drug addiction is spoiling, rather ruining millions of young men all over the world.Even in pakistan thousands of young boys and girls fall victim to drug addiction. Drug addiction incapacitates a person. He becomes a liability or a burden upon his family. Addiction leads to his gradual, but miserable death.

Drug produce numbness or unconsciousness or deep sleep. But on the other hand, there are also some drugs by using which person cannot sleep. As a matter of fact, drugs are only meant for medical use. They relieve pain. But their large-scale consumption for their nefarious designs. There are various kinds of drugs; some of which produce physical addiction. Opium and heroin produce physical addiction, while cocaine and marijuana, while is extracted from opium. The doctors also prescribe sedatives or tranquilizers to the patients who need relief but their excessive use is injurious to health.

Drug are produced mainly in two belts of asia: the "Golden Triangle" and the "Golden crescent". The Golden Triangle consists of Thailand, Laos and Burma; while the golden crescent comprises Afghanistan and Iran. Young people fall easy victims to drugs. They are spoiled by bad company. First of all, they start smoking just out of fashion. Then they try to fill their cigarettes with opium or heroin and thus gradually turn to be addicts. Moreover, drug mafia uses various tricks to induce the people to make them addicts. They try to sell heroin in various forms and by various methods. They lure the needy and the indigent youth to sell heroin on attractive terms. Once a young man is trapped, Only death can disassociate him from their fold. Drug injections are also used to make people addicts. Once a person becomes an addict, he can never escape it. Only strong will-power and iron determination can rid him of this evil. All the countries of the world are trying their best to control this menace. Drug addicts and drug traffickers are heavily sentenced in some countries. In china and Saudi Arabia, they are sentenced to death; but still drug addicts and drug trafficking are on the increase. The evident reason is the fact that drug pushers run in millions. They are prepared to go to any extent to safeguard their interests. A joint effort on the part of the U.N. and other international agencies is needed to eliminate this scourge.
